How to get to Heaven, God's way

Have you ever wondered whether you will get to Heaven when your life ends? Would you like to be sure? The Bible makes it clear that our eternal destiny should not be a matter of guesswork -

"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." - I John 5:13

The way to Heaven is not a secret. It is not reserved for a fortunate few. No church or organization can claim that only they know the way. Indeed, beware of any church that makes such a claim. It's all spelled out clearly in the Bible.

God is perfect and holy.
"For I am the LORD who brings you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." - Leviticus 11:45
"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." - Matthew 5:48
Man is sinful and cannot approach God.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." - 1 John 1:8
The just penalty for our sin is eternal punishment in Hell.
"For the wages of sin is death." - Romans 6:23a
"And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:15
Jesus Christ died to pay for our sins so that we wouldn't have to.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down at the right hand of God" - Hebrews 10:12
No one except Jesus can save us.
"Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." - John 14:6
"Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole... Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:10,12
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" - 1 Timothy 2:5
Our own good works cannot save us.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us" - Titus 3:5a
We must individually choose to accept His forgiveness.
"That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9
"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" - John 1:12
The time to accept Christ's forgiveness is today, right now.
"For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." - II Corinthians 6:2
